What do I need to get started?
A computer with Google Chrome and your Hudl account. Install the extension and send a game.
It won’t install on my school computer, or it says “request pending.”
Your school runs your Chrome, so its tech person has to approve new extensions. Two easy fixes:
- Ask your school’s IT person to approve “2 Minute Warning - Hudl Extension.” They’ll find it in the Google Admin console under Chrome apps and extensions. The extension ID is
iokchiggjggbgjooniogdogpcgjckhkc. - Or use a personal computer, or a Chrome profile that isn’t your school account, and sign in to Hudl there like normal.
If it installs but your game won’t send on the school’s internet, ask IT to allow 2minutewarning.com and amazonaws.com (where our sign-in runs). Stuck? Email support@2minutewarning.com and we’ll help.
How fast do I get my breakdown back?
Under an hour from the moment you click Send to 2MW.
Do I have to leave Hudl?
No. Our Chrome extension adds a Send to 2MW button inside Hudl. You pick a game, click once, and the data comes back ready to import into the same place you already work.
What does it cost?
Your first game is free, with no signup. Send a second game and create an account (no credit card needed) to get a free week of unlimited games. After that, pick a plan inside the 2MW extension: $100 for 4 weeks of unlimited games (starting the day you buy), or $300 for a Season Pass (every game through Dec 31). Both are unlimited games, your own or your opponents’. See pricing.
What data do you tag?
Quarter, Series #, ODK, Yard Line, Hash, Down, Distance, Play Type (Offense, Kickoff, Field Goal or Punt), Run/Pass and Gain/Loss, in a data file that imports back into Hudl or opens in Excel. More fields are on the way.
What else do I get besides the data?
Editable scout cards for every offensive play, in PowerPoint or Visio, with player alignments and annotations you can change. Tendency reports on formations and alignments are coming soon.
Can I use it on my phone?
The extension installs on a computer. On your phone? Email yourself the link and install it when you’re back at your desk.
What if my film isn't on Hudl?
We have other options. Contact us and tell us how your film is stored.
